Day 10

I am a vegetarian now and I want to be a vegan. I watched Okja last night and cried from pretty much 5 minutes in and on. I just can't do it. I can't eat meat anymore. I've been trying to be vegetarian but haven't really had much wind behind my sales. Okja was the push I needed. I couldn't even finish it.

Today I'll be eating granola with Silk milk, and will be buying lunch because I have none. I am appalled by how food is produced even though that show was filtered through the hollywood lense. There's always a shred of truthfulness behind those kind of movies.

I had to watch Madam Secretary - a show I usually have to watch something else to calm down from - to calm down from Okja. I didn't sleep until around midnight. Because of this I snoozed my alarm for about an hour and didn't make it to the gym at 6. I did do some lunges here and intend on continuing to do them throughout the week. It only took ten minutes. I can totally do that a couple times a day.

I really want to research vegetarian dishes now. I can't get it out of my mind. Maybe I'll make this blog like the Julia Childs blog where she tries different recipes that are in a cookbook and learns to cook all the same. I think I could get on board with that.

Really quickly I just pulled up two 'top vegetarian cookbook' lists on Google. The top contenders are: How to cook everything: Vegetarian by Mark Bittman, The New Vegetarian cookbook for everyone by Deborah Madison, In my Kitchen by Deborah Madison, The Oh She Glows Cookbook by Angela Liddon, Forks over Knives by Del Sroufe, and Thug Kitchen. The cheapest and highest rated is Thug Kitchen - so we'll start there!
