Day 13

Man, eating like a bird really makes you poop. It's been some interesting mornings the last couple of days in that regard, but other than that I feel great! I have energy and I feel really skinny. This new diet could really stick!

I overcooked the granola bars so they're more like granola than bars. Today I'm going to eat them with milk in a bowl with a spoon. I'm also making us 'smoked almond and chickpea salad sandwiches.' It's the vegan take on a chicken salad sandwich with a bunch of goodies like smoked almonds and avocado instead of mayo. I'm pretty excited. Tonight we're making a corn chowder which looks like it's going to be amazing.

Yesterday was the eclipse and everyone in America was astounded. It sounds like Nebraska had quite the event with a full black out for over a minute. It didn't really look abnormal in New York state, nor California according to Richie. The only difference I could see was that the flare on my camera lens from looking at the sun was a banana instead of a circle. Nonetheless it was a really fantastic phenomenon.

I spoke with Morgan and Ben about the eclipse and they both had a lot to say about it, Morgan more so than Ben. She knew all of the labels for the stages of the eclipse and was ecstatic about each stage. Morgan and I then chatted about our acne and how Matt and I will be back in Nebraska in a little over a week.

Yesterday I also didn't wear any makeup. Nothing changed, although I did see the rest of my building and looked disheveled while they looked polished. I'm stepping up my game today and am going to fix my hair and makeup. There's no reason to go to work looking disheveled everyday no matter how great it feels.

Time for those sandwiches!
