Day 17
I missed yesterday! I actually missed the whole weekend as well so it was a total of three days. This last weekend was fantastic. We went to Saratoga to see our friends Maggie and her fiance Alex. We went on a wonderful hike, drank amazing beer, saw their ADORABLE town, and went to the race track. The weather was perfect and never too hot for all of our adventures, and everything tasted wonderful. I haven't hung out with Maggie in the past 4 years, but she's really sweet and I'm excited that she's so close now.
In the next few years as they cut up Matt's territory, we're going to have quite the decision to make in the next few years - Saratoga or Buffalo. We decided it really matters where I get a job!
It was lovely being with Maggie and Alex because it made me realize how much Matt and I have grown this past year. We've really grown as a couple and as adults in our relationship. It's really apparent with how we speak to one another, our plans we've made, and the ideas that we share. I'm really proud of us. Maggie and Alex also are at the stage of figuring out their decor in their house which I've been struggling with myself for at least the past year. I do feel like I have some sort of grasp on the design we have in our spaces.
We've started looking at new places to live. I'm not really excited about the idea right now given everything is so expensive here and there's not really a reason to be. It'll be nice when we know where we'll be in a year or two so we can really settle down.
Who knows, maybe we'll just get the carpet taken up in here and that'll be good enough for awhile. I really hate the storage here though, so there's going to have to be some changes there as well.
