Day 20
I am so tired. I need a vacation from my vacation. We got back from Nebraska yesterday at noon, and I went to bed at 9 pm. I slept like a rock up until Charlie woke me up because of a storm happening for pretty much most of the night. I feel bad I think Matt and I bickered about it a bit. Man I am tired.
This weekend was good. It was good to be around my family in the capacity we were. It was interesting to be around them for that long. Matt and I both agreed it was about a half a day too long. My sisters specifically were very much themselves this weekend. I don't know how they can revert to those antics so quickly and so intensely around those people. It takes me a long time to revert to the spineless anxiety riddled alcoholic I was around them.
Friday Matt, Gail, Lauren, John, Alex, Richie and Lindsay all showed up. We all arrived at different times. We had a pizza party for Lilly and Matt, John, Alex and I went out for a beer. That was a really good time. I enjoyed hanging with everyone that night. We then went to my mom's house and proceeded to drink until 3 or so. That wasn't my smartest idea given I was exhausted for the rest of the weekend. Saturday we got up and went to the farmers market. That was intense with the amount of people there, but I think everyone really enjoyed it. Afterward we went home and cooked meatballs and napped till the reception. The reception was lovely. I'm glad everyone who came did and we really enjoyed seeing everyone! Saturday night some more people came over and talked until the wee hours of the morning. I had to go to bed at 1. Matt and Jess stayed up late talking about God knows what.
Sunday was where it got weird. We all woke up early again and people came over for brunch for a few hours. I slowly got Matt and I ready and realized John and Alex took my wallet which was going to make it messy to get home. Crystal Gail and I went to the quilt museum and it was lovely. I followed it with a tour of the campus which was fantastic to see. We then went home and took naps and hang out. Crystal had to leave at 6:30 so my mom and Gail took her. I need to make a point to hangout with her more often. The girls all were riddled with anxiety as Jessica exploded with her bath salts all over my mom's kitchen. Richie wasn't exactly nice while I was home and continued that trend up until he left yesterday morning.
We had the meatballs Matt made for dinner Sunday night, and drank some wine and the fancy champagne that Matt and I got as a gift. We then got up and went to the airport at 3:30 in the morning. It was a long day and I hated the invasive level they went to to make sure I was good to fly without an ID. I will always wear socks and underwear to the airport....
I have to get ready for work. Ugh I'm so tired.
