Day 21

Why is sleeping in so nice? I have slept in every night this week and it's been fabulous. I wish getting skinny was as easy as getting fat. I am so not motivated to not be fat.

This week has been good so far. It's nice to catch up on sleep and i'm getting excited to go to toronto. I've been working really hard getting my house clean. It was jarring to be in Vanessa and my mom's house which were immaculate and then come home to mine that stinks of pee and needs a good vacuum. We will see what I can accomplish tonight so we come home to a super clean house on Sunday.

Charlie is staying in Ellicotville with Matt's aunt Sue. He's having his own little vacation which I love to think about.

I'm grateful for morning sunshine in overaircondintioned rooms. I'm grateful for strong coffee and morning gulps of water. I'm thankful that the wine bottles fit just right in our cabinet. I'm thankful that I can re-read the harry potter books with my nieces and nephews.

Day 34

Yesterday was a hard day for America. It was the Las Vegas shooting as well as Tom Petty died at 66. There are reports that over fifty people died in vegas and hundreds were injured. It's the worst shooting in American history. Apparently the guy passed all the background checks and no one saw this coming. Apparently he camped out in his hotel room overlooking the concert and just started shooting. He even reloaded before any new what was going on. They say he even had bombs in his room. He ended up turning the gun on himself before anyone could get to him. These are the times we live in.... I'm not sure what is worse, feeling numb with that situation, or not being surprised that it happened. I intentionally stay away from large crowds because of these types of things, and am constantly aware of my surroundings so I'm not in a situation like this. Day 3

August 9th  Why are Wednesdays the hardest days to workout on? I have never liked to and I can always talk myself out of it every morning. As I sit here with my coffee and undeserved smoothie, I think about how much better I'd feel if I had gotten up and went to my cycling class. I'd say I hope I workout on Wednesdays but man oh man do I hate doing that.  I'm also deciding on if I want to wash my hair today. I was told by my hair stylist to only wash it three times a week, but if I don't workout on Wednesdays I can get by with two times a week. I can't believe how thick it's gotten by doing this. It's extremely healthy and I barely have any fallout or breakage now. It's a miracle cure I'm telling you.  Work was alright yesterday. Justin actually complemented some of the things I do. Day 33

I think I shared some of my dark thoughts with Matt this weekend. I've realized that it's become an issue and I need to read about what to do to not have these thoughts. I also think I'm going to be limiting my drinking for awhile so I can really get a handle on these things.  I've started following a bunch of podcasts and am reading articles about which books help with this type of thought process. I believe I have a inferiority complex as well as a hard time feeling vulnerable with others. Thankfully there's a lot to learn on both subjects which makes me feel hopeful. I don't want to be the crazy one that ends the marriage because I pushed Matt away.  I've thought about counselling but want to try things on my own first. If I still feel this way in 4 months, or worsen in the next 4 months,  then I will go talk to someone.  I also know that a lot of this has to do with work and how bad it is. I really need to step up my game with finding a new career....
