Day 22

So I'm trying bagbalm on my face at night since it's making Vanessa's skin so beautiful. It's making me break out! I'm giving it a month to see what the difference is but if it constantly makes me break out I don't want to be using it. I've also moved back to Origins and my face FEELS better so that's good. I can't wait for the products to do their job and make my face stop breaking out. It's so frustrating re-figuring out what products do and do not work when you've moved to a different climate, but here we are.

In other news we might be moving down the street into the newer apartments. They have full flooring so Charlie won't pee on everything which is a HUGE plus. I'm interested to see how the winters go on a balcony here vs in Denver. I'm sure they're going to be different but it'd be lovely if we could still use the patio in the winter. I'm also interested to see if the patio needs shoveling in the winter, because that'd be a bummer.

I really hope our apartment complex let's us out of our lease a month early. I have a strong feeling they will not though. I think we'd be able to figure out how to move at the end of september if needed, but matt wants to move mid-October. I've been meaning to go through all of our stuff anyway and this would be the perfect time to...

I think the thing I'm most excited about is the patio/deck area of this new place. It's so big! I'm excited to get a little setup of chairs and maybe a table to sit out there on. it'll be so nice to have a place to be that's not directly on our neighbor's yard.

Additionally, went through all of our gifts from the Nebraska reception and the ones we love the most were the wine chiller and the copper bucket pumpkin full of fall things. They're just so us and they were from the people who know us the least! I'm excited to have them forever :)

Day 34

Yesterday was a hard day for America. It was the Las Vegas shooting as well as Tom Petty died at 66. There are reports that over fifty people died in vegas and hundreds were injured. It's the worst shooting in American history. Apparently the guy passed all the background checks and no one saw this coming. Apparently he camped out in his hotel room overlooking the concert and just started shooting. He even reloaded before any new what was going on. They say he even had bombs in his room. He ended up turning the gun on himself before anyone could get to him. These are the times we live in.... I'm not sure what is worse, feeling numb with that situation, or not being surprised that it happened. I intentionally stay away from large crowds because of these types of things, and am constantly aware of my surroundings so I'm not in a situation like this. Day 3

August 9th  Why are Wednesdays the hardest days to workout on? I have never liked to and I can always talk myself out of it every morning. As I sit here with my coffee and undeserved smoothie, I think about how much better I'd feel if I had gotten up and went to my cycling class. I'd say I hope I workout on Wednesdays but man oh man do I hate doing that.  I'm also deciding on if I want to wash my hair today. I was told by my hair stylist to only wash it three times a week, but if I don't workout on Wednesdays I can get by with two times a week. I can't believe how thick it's gotten by doing this. It's extremely healthy and I barely have any fallout or breakage now. It's a miracle cure I'm telling you.  Work was alright yesterday. Justin actually complemented some of the things I do. Day 33

I think I shared some of my dark thoughts with Matt this weekend. I've realized that it's become an issue and I need to read about what to do to not have these thoughts. I also think I'm going to be limiting my drinking for awhile so I can really get a handle on these things.  I've started following a bunch of podcasts and am reading articles about which books help with this type of thought process. I believe I have a inferiority complex as well as a hard time feeling vulnerable with others. Thankfully there's a lot to learn on both subjects which makes me feel hopeful. I don't want to be the crazy one that ends the marriage because I pushed Matt away.  I've thought about counselling but want to try things on my own first. If I still feel this way in 4 months, or worsen in the next 4 months,  then I will go talk to someone.  I also know that a lot of this has to do with work and how bad it is. I really need to step up my game with finding a new career....
