Day 31
I slept in yesterday. It was a rough start and didn't get much better. Work was a magnificent catastrophe full of letdowns and fires to be put out. I am really getting better at this job but still make stupid mistakes. I suppose it will come with time. It's frustrating to be the only one making these mistakes.
I did talk to Laura last night for quite awhile though. That was so lovely. It was after I had like two glasses of wine though so I kind of rambled on and on and on. I think she's having a hard time with work right now and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to support her.
Matt on the other hand is killing it at work. He has a big week this week and is talking about his product in front of a ton of people today or tomorrow. I think he's been rather stressed out about it but not in the same way. I think he's over preparing so he has nothing out of line. I've tried to stay out of his way and let him work. He's going to be gone for the next few days so I'll be a bachelorette in my humble abode.
We're moving in about 2 months and I cannot wait. We're just moving down the street, but the apartment is way more our style. It'll be really nice to have a patio and no carpet for charlie to pee on. I've been figuring out what I want to put in each room and what our styles are. I think I'm going to buy neutral colored furniture and pillows/blankets. I think if we went gray, black, white, silver and blue for everything, then accented it with bright red here and there it'd look really nice. I think I'd do the accents in art and details. I've also found bedding that I think would work perfectly for our beds - Navy and Gray. I think for the spare room I'll put the navy in there and accent it with burnt orange or purple, and in our bedroom I'll put the navy bedspread and accent it with Yellow. This way we use all of the decorations we already have! I'm just slightly excited... I think we'll also have to buy a kitchen table and for sure buy an outdoor patio set. I also didn't realize we don't have ANY side tables or bookshelves. Those pieces, along with a headboard for the spare bedroom, are the furniture we're looking to be buying. I've been thinking about if we want a nice dining room table, or if we should piece it together from antique stores... I think I want it all to match, but that doesn't mean we can't get metal chairs and paint them.
I suppose we'll see what happens in the next 51 days! not that I'm counting...
